This is how it spins

What happens
First of all: what it is. A low platform, a few centimetres high, that you step onto alone or in a group. Around it turns a motorised arm that carries the camera all the way round, at the right height. Whoever is on top doesn’t have to do anything in particular — move, laugh, raise an arm — and the clip that comes out has the world spinning and them standing still at the centre.
The difference from the photobooth is what remains. The photobooth prints: you walk away with an object in your hand. The 360 doesn’t — what comes out is a video that arrives on the phone during the evening, and from there goes into the stories. One stays in your pocket, the other goes round.
In the room it takes up more space than the photo booth, because the arm has to turn freely and people need to step on and off safely. It’s the first thing to check when you choose: if you send us a photo of the room, we’ll tell you straight away whether it fits.

The questions about the 360
What exactly is a 360 booth?
A low platform that one or more people step onto, and a motorised arm that carries the camera around them. The result is a clip in which the world spins and you stay at the centre. It doesn’t print: what comes out is a video.
How much space do you need around the platform?
More than for the photobooth, because the arm has to turn freely and guests need to step on and off safely. You need a clear area all around: if you send us the floor plan or a photo of the room, we’ll tell you beforehand whether it fits and where.
How many people can get on together?
It depends on the platform and on how bold they are. On your own you get a cleaner clip, in a group a funnier one: most evenings end with groups of three or four.
When do the guests get the video?
During the evening, on their phone, ready to post. That’s the difference from a gallery to download the next day: the clip goes round while the party is still on.
Can we have it together with the photobooth?
Yes, on the same evening: prints on one side, videos on the other, with a single set-up and a single contact. Many people choose it precisely because the two keepsakes don’t replace each other.
